RGate is an independent Rust/GPUI reimplementation inspired by TkGate. RGate application code is licensed under GPL-3.0-or-later; see LICENSE. It is not an official TkGate release and is distributed without warranty. TkGate-derived Classic artwork ------------------------------ Classic gate silhouettes and colored control illustrations were recreated as vectors using TkGate images as reference. They are not claimed to be wholly independent artwork. Original reference artwork: copyright Jeffery P. Hansen and TkGate contributors, GPL-2.0-or-later. RGate's adaptations are distributed under GPL-3.0-or-later. The refreshed documentation screenshots show those adaptations wherever Classic artwork is visible. The RGate application mark and macOS icon are original RGate artwork. GPUI ---- GPUI is provided by the Zed Industries project under Apache License 2.0. Published GPUI snapshot packages: gpui-pre, gpui-pre-platform and gpui-pre-web 0.3.9. These releases are provided by the GPUI Kit ecosystem from Zed GPUI sources. Packages are fetched from crates.io; no vendored source or local patches. License text: licenses/GPUI-APACHE-2.0 Other Rust dependencies retain their own licenses and notices, as listed in their package manifests in the Cargo registry. Cargo.lock pins the resolved dependency graph. When distributing binaries, retain applicable third-party notices and provide corresponding source as required by GPLv3. Browser fonts ------------- IBM Plex Sans: Copyright 2017 IBM Corp.; SIL Open Font License 1.1. Lilex: Copyright 2019 The Lilex Project Authors; SIL Open Font License 1.1. Noto Sans Symbols 2 and Noto Sans Math: SIL Open Font License 1.1. Original license texts are retained in assets/fonts/*LICENSE.txt and included in web distribution licenses/. Downloaded HDL evaluation examples (examples/verilog): - Project F display_480p, LFSR and PWM, Copyright 2020-2022 Will Green, MIT. https://github.com/projf/projf-explore (license retained in projectf/LICENSE). - verilog-uart, Copyright 2014-2017 Alex Forencich, MIT. https://github.com/alexforencich/verilog-uart (license retained in uart/LICENSE and source headers). - PicoRV32, Copyright 2015 Claire Xenia Wolf, ISC. https://github.com/YosysHQ/picorv32 (license retained in picorv32/COPYING). Exact revisions and downloaded-file SHA-256 hashes are in examples/verilog/sources.json. The optional xezim dependency is pinned in crates/rgate-hdl/Cargo.toml; its upstream license is retained by Cargo's source checkout (Apache-2.0 LICENSE). User interface components and code editor: GPUI Kit (gpui-component, gpui-base and gpui-kit-assets 0.8.0) from https://github.com/longbridge/gpui-kit, Apache-2.0. Published crates.io packages; no vendored component code or Zed internal editor dependencies. Verilog grammar: tree-sitter-verilog 1.0.3 (MIT, Cargo dependency). GPUI Kit bundled icons ---------------------- GPUI Kit's embedded Lucide icon catalog includes Feather-derived icons. Lucide Icons and Contributors: ISC; Feather portions: MIT. Copyright statements and icon list: licenses/LUCIDE-FEATHER-LICENSE. GPUI Component/Base: Apache-2.0, licenses/GPUI-KIT-APACHE-2.0. File-level copyleft dependencies ------------------------------- option-ext 0.2.0 (runtime dependency), cbindgen 0.28.0 (build tool), and platform-dependent dwrote 0.11.5 declare MPL-2.0. These files keep their own license; MPL does not relicense the whole application. MPL text: licenses/MPL-2.0. Source packages are available through their Cargo package sources and the exact versions in Cargo.lock. When distributing binaries, provide the MPL-covered source or inform recipients how to obtain it, and retain applicable notices; modifications to covered files remain covered. Distribution license inventory ------------------------------ Build helpers generate THIRD-PARTY-LICENSES.txt and THIRD-PARTY-PACKAGES.json from the resolved Cargo metadata, including license expressions, source locations, and available packaged license/notice texts. Packages without a packaged license text are identified explicitly; their manifest and README are included for review. This inventory is not a legal opinion or a substitute for reviewing notices in native/transitive sources. GPL distribution must also provide corresponding source and build materials; a binary plus license texts alone does not satisfy that obligation.
